Maps and The Cruise Freewrite

 1. Central claim of Harmon's essay: Maps are selective in representation and have the potential to selectively pick out one's own individual experience or bring together collective knowledge.

2. imposition of individual human activities, the embodiment of all living things and non living things (humans, flowers and buildings), harmonizing altogether, pointing out the contradicting purpose of places (central park)...

3. Subway, the gums stuck on the entrance, graffiti's on the posters, and trash between the lanes- vandalizing the public area.
